The Knowledge Alliance on Product-Service Development towards Circular Economy and Sustainability in Higher Education (KATCH_e) is a 3-year EU funded project that was launched in January 2017 and is part of the ERASMUS+ programme of Knowledge Alliances. The COP4HL Knowledge Alliance participated in the Erasmus+ Thematic Cluster Meeting on University-Business Cooperation in Brussels on 23 October 2019. During experience sharing sessions COP4HL was presented by Johan de Jong and Matthias Guett.

Eu knowledge alliance

Knowledge alliances are transnational and result-driven activities between higher education institutions and businesses. Organisations from Partner Countries may also participate as partners (not as applicants) if they bring an essential added value to the project. Knowledge Alliances are transnational projects which bring higher education institutions and business together to work on common issues. The overall aim is to help strengthen Europe's capacity to innovate and to support the modernisation of Europe's higher education systems. Knowledge Alliances focus on one or more of the following: EACEA-KNOWLEDGE-ALLIANCES@ec.europa.eu. The SPIRE-SAIS alliance will address possible skills shortages in the Energy Intensive Industries while providing EU citizens with the necessary skill sets for future job profiles. The project will address updating of the curricula, qualifications, knowledge and skills that are required to support essential cross-sectoral collaboration and Industrial Symbiosis activities.
